Our Story

It started with my daughter.

Amber Grain began with a simple need close to home. My daughter has sensitive skin and struggled with commercial soaps, which inspired me to look for a simpler and more thoughtful alternative.

That journey led me to traditional cold-process soapmaking — and eventually to Amber Grain.

What started as something I made for my family grew into something I wanted to share with others.

Today, every Amber Grain soap is handcrafted in small batches in Ontario, Canada, using thoughtfully selected ingredients such as tallow, plant oils, goat milk, oatmeal, and botanical infusions. Each recipe is carefully created, poured and cut by hand, then given time to cure naturally.

For me, soap doesn't need to be complicated. I believe in thoughtful ingredients, simple recipes, traditional methods, and taking the time to make things with care.

From making each batch to wrapping the finished bar, Amber Grain is truly handmade. No mass production — just small batches made with purpose and attention to detail.
